“The surviving members of Soundgarden reunited Wednesday to perform during halftime of the Seattle Seahawks’ 2026 season-opening NFL game at Lumen Field.”

Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron took the field at Lumen Field for the Seahawks’ Sept. 9 opener against the New England Patriots, joined by Taylor Momsen on vocals and Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready on second guitar. The group played “Outshined” and “Spoonman,” the latter for the first time since Soundgarden’s final show with Chris Cornell on May 17, 2017. McCready also performed the national anthem before the game.
